This is a beautiful execution of a simple photo. It does not include excessively vibrant colors (that are not necessarily bad) or the composition that speaks a thousand words.

The picture in essence is as simple as holding a dog's face in direction of the camera. But it seems to have almost a story behind it. The manner of holding is firm yet not forced or hurting. And that is further amplified by the dogs expressions - amused as if it were a child that stole candy. That is what gives it a unique touch of its own as well as some meaning.

The lightening, quality of the shot and the cropping (if any) add to the basic photo. There isn't much in the technique to glorify but it is never necessary that only complex shots require technique. I do feel however that the title could have hinted to the dogs expressions or actions before the shot so I was a little disappointed by the titles simplicity. Then again that is up to you.

So it is all in all a wonderful shot - simple yet heartwarming and well taken.
