WIP Gazebo and Garden

Description

I don't usually post works in progress, but thought I would this time.  This is what I've been busy with.  The gazebo came as a kit but I've had to paint and assemble it.  David helped me make the base and then I've been off and running with all of the adornments.  It has a long way to go yet, but I've completed 2 topiary trees, a bonsai being displayed inside the gazebo.  I've made 4 more since then but you'll need to wait to see.  It's going to be a bonsai show.  I've completed the grass, garden beds (which majorly await flowers!), the footpath and the pond.

The path was made by cutting brick shapes from egg carton lids (the flat part) and painting then to replicate brick colours.  The pond was set into a plastic shape that had wrapped a toy at Christmas.  There are 2 polymer clay goldfish in there, bull rushes (cat tails) and lily plants and flowers.  I am half way through making a beaded willow tree to stand near the pond.  So many hobbies, so little time :sprint:

Updated with 1st July changes...               And the final, complete garden fully explained and shown here...
WIP Gazebo and Garden V2 by MayEbony                           Gazebo Show and Tell:iconflyingheartsplz: Hello dear Friends and Watchers :iconflyingheartsplz:
Well, as you are all probably too well aware, my recent big project was a Gazebo Garden, set during Springtime in England. For my own sake as much as anything else, and because my YouTube video failed in the sound department about half way through (their fault, not mine - the original film is fine), I thought I'd assemble some photos and include some chat about methods and equipment used - if anyone cares a jot ;)
The gazebo began as a 'flat pack' kit in plain wood. I actually bought it from our one 'minis' shop, which is of course far, far away from home :giggle:
But I bought it with the $50 voucher that I won at the 2014 show in the novice category. I'd only been doing minis for around 9 months and won the prize for this garden in a frozen yogurt tub...

The flowers were made with chopped up kitchen sponges of various colours and the water is glue from a glue gun.

This is really nice. It is so good to see the WIP. I had looked at the second photo first and must admit that it was great to be able to go back in time to see what you had been working from.
