Thank you so very much for the Daily Deviation dear Talty, you truly are a beautiful and kind lady 15th Jan 2013.
A silk ribbon embroidery that I did in 1999. It is framed with a reddish/brown wood and has glass over the top. The frame is made so that it sits on the top of the coffee table and is viewed from above. I have to admit that I am proud of it and I keep it in the wardrobe except for special occasions so that it's safe from 4 small grandchildren and also so that the colours don't fade from exposure to light. This also keeps me from becoming stale about it, so I am still just as thrilled with it today as I was when I was making it. The pattern for it came from a book - I did not design it, but it's all my own work. Silk ribbons on pure silk fabric with embroidery threads for the finer details. = Red :b Here's the other project I've done which was on black velvet I really value every comment, , and I can no longer thank everyone for Faves individually, but please know that I'm grateful and very happy to receive them, they mean a lot.

Silk Ribbon Rose Embroidery by =MayEbony is a beautiful example of several embroidery techniques, beautifully executed to emulate the petals perfectly! (

This is so gorgeous! I don't know what else to say, other than that I really admire the talent (and can understand keeping it away from young grandchildren - the perils of younger relatives. )
