Jonathan Livingston Poser by MayEbony Jonathan Livingston Poser by MayEbony
Jonathan Livingston Poser. I was at the local marina with my camera club and this seagull stood on a railing while 2 girls took multiple pictures of him. When they had all the shots they wanted, others went and photographed him as well. He stood still, or turned slightly to present a better angle. When they were finished he still stood, looking to see if anyone else wanted to share in his beauty and I lifted my camera expecting that he would surely fly away at any moment. But he stood there for me also. It had to be a full 10 minutes that he was there, deliberately posing for anyone that wanted shots. Even after I'd finished he looked around for another 2 minutes to be sure we were all done. When nobody moved he flew away.

Thanks George - he truly was quite the poser, which helped a great deal. I'd prefer a different background, but was just happy to have such a willing subject LOL

Nice shot and very fitting title ^^
That's quite amazing how patient this little guy was, while so many people were using him as their model ;-)
How I wish that the birds in my town would slow even down for few seconds :P

He was amazing, yes. Seemed as if he had no other calling in life except to stand there looking wonderful LOL

What birds do you have - fast small ones?

Most of our birds are either [link] or [link] ^^
Both tend to be very shy and to hide themselves from nosy photographers :D
