Description
This is for my sweet, sweet girls Bertie and Kate Bertie liked my other miniature garden (thumb below) so I dedicate this new one to you, and your also adorable sister. You two bring me hope of the true love that siblings can have. You inspire me!
Both items completely hand made by me - feel free to ask any questions if you wish. This was inspired by a small slice of branch that I found sitting on the grass in a park after some branches had been pruned and it almost screamed at me 'fairy glade!!!' I used that for the base and made everything else. Mushrooms are polymer clay and very detailed, even the brown gills underneath. The fairy is tiny - I had to use a 3-hair brush to paint her face. I'd guess this probably took 3 or 4 hours for the garden on the piece of wood, but the fairy was another ballgame entirely This one was my third attempt She's made with fine gauge green jewellery wire with the teensiest blob or air-dry clay for her head. Dress, shoes (my grand-daughters chose the shoe colour) and hair are diced kitchen sponge. And of course her face is painted with the smallest (why are they so expensive? lol) paintbrush I could buy after searching 3 art shops. The fairy was probably another 4 hours. She's sitting down and is 16mm or 1/7th of an inch tall. Her wings are from tissue wrap that has butterflies on it, I just cut one out.

I really value every comment, , and I can no longer thank everyone for Faves individually, but please know that I'm grateful and very happy to receive them, they mean a lot.
